The Open Championship course at Carnoustie is a beast. It has also been called a lot of other things but one thing everyone can agree on who has played "Carnasty" is that it is a real test even when the wind isn't blowing. In our mind it's a course certainly worthy of respect but the issues are always caused by trying to blast your way round rather than accepting that a lot of holes are actually much harder than the par would suggest., so plot your way round, take photos and a deep breath befr you tee of on 16 as it, and 17 and 18 are truly memourable.
Equally memourable and the reason we have selected Carnoustie Country as part of our "bounceback" tours are the superb other courses close by. Not only are these traditional links courses great links they also represent amasing value for money, ticking one of the VisitScotoand grant conditions.
