Our tailor made golf tours to Scotland are the most popular with our clients. With golf played here in Scotland for over 600 years we can rightly claim Scotland as “the home of golf” so it is not unusual to find Scotland as the first choice of our international clients’ inaugural visit to the UK and Ireland. 

Most of the requests we receive are to play the big five of Scottish golf courses that  have all hosted The Open Championsip: The Old Course at St Andrews, Muirfield, Carnoustie, Royal Troon and where The Open Championship began back in 1860, Prestwick Golf Club.

We would also add to this other tier one courses such as Royal Dornoch,  North Berwick, Gullane No 1, Western Gailes, Cruden Bay and Royal Aberdeen.  These are all classics but there are numerous other courses that are the envy of other worldwide golf destinations that can only dream of Scotland's historical links. 

Take our advice and leave some spare  time during your vacation to play some of these lesser known masterpieces. For some they will be the most memourable part of your trip.

Bookings for 2025 and 2026 are already being made so don't delay if you want to play the premier courses as they book out early. However, we strongly recommend that you enjoy some of lesser known historical courses designed by the likes of Old Tom Morris and James Braid. This is where true value can be found.
